making a cloth diaper

just in the process of stiching cloth diaper for my little one.
for the 1st two to 3 months langod or a triangular piece of good cotton is the best choice
A new born has very soft skin and is likely to urinate too often
and of course a langod gives room for aeration too which is very important.
the best material for this is cotton,,,,

cloth diapers for older than 3 months children could be a better absorbent one,,,which am stiching now

returning after a gap

after  a long gap,due to Yishaanths birth I am returning to my blog
off late I think I should start some specific craft rather than a broad one that I have started.
I am eyeing at tailoring,,lets see if that works out.

applique work on cushion cover

I have tried applique work on cushion cover. this is my first work using my new sewing machine.

hand made photo frame from card board and chalk powder

I made this frame for my son's photo using card board, OHP sheet and chalk powder. I have decorated with glitters and small flowers. this is my first trial and am hoping to make better ones in the future

smocked round cushion made of satin material

I had learnt this from a friend of mine two years ago. I have used satin cloth and fishing thread. I am on my way to design a complete set of cushions changing the decor plan of my living room. hope to do themm soon and keep posting.

the method here is smocking, where the whole design is brought about by only stiching and there is no special cut required.
